38 weeeeeeeeks

Today I am 38 weeks! I've been pretty bad about documenting this pregnancy-i'll probably really regret that but lets get real-taking pictures while your body is expanding and growing in some pretty unflattering ways, makes it pretty hard to whip out a camera. That and Robby and I just bought a new camera for Christmas but he doesn't want to open it until Rilee comes so it is currently wrapped and sitting somewhere under our tree.

I AM SO EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS!!!! Want to know why? Because we are going to have a baby home by Christmas no matter what! :) Yesterday I had my weekly appointment with my doctor and I got my membranes stripped, I am 3 cm dilated, have a "favorable cervix" and I am about 90% effaced haha (do I sound like I know what I am talking about? Cause I really have no idea..) but I do know he said that if Robby and I felt good about it, that he could induce me next week and to go home and think about it. Anyways-we felt pretty good about it so we called back and we have our date :) Thursday, December 22nd at 7am! So if she doesn't come before on her own, then that's the day! We bought this little reindeer suite for her a week or so ago that says my first Christmas on it..its freakin cute and I CANNOT WAIT TO PUT HER IN IT!

Sorry-all these pictures are taken with my phone so they aren't the greatest quality-I'm so ready to open that camera up and use it!

We have finished Rilees room!! .....well for the most part, there are still some pictures we need to print and put in our frames buuuut its pretty much done! I am going to wait for a good camera to take some pictures of it but yeah :) Robby and I just go in there and sit and play house pretty much haha it's been so fun, hes going to be such a CUTE dad!

To our little Rilee Bug---please come quick! Daddy is making me walk like a mad woman and texts me everyday while hes at work asking if you are going to come while he's away, looking up ways to get you out of my belly and into his arms...he loves you LOTS and wants to play with you so bad! I really want to see you and hold you too so if you can come before the 22nd that would be great! Kona is probably ok with you staying in there and not stealing her spotlight but she will warm up to you I promise! Your little family loves you so much already!! Grandmas and Grandpas and Aunts and Uncles are all excited for you to come, I know we are kind of a crazy family but you'll get used to us :) WE LOVE YOU!

nursery crafts!

Robby and I have been slowly but surely working on Rilees nursery and it has been so fun! and also kind of overwhelming(for me) but so fun! Here are some of our crafts so far...

Robby helped me fold the ends of the 40 strips we had to make for the bumper! What a guy!

our mess

Kona has not liked the sewing projects one bit but shes been my little helper! The bumper on the right is one I bought at a kid-to-kid store for $8. Had to take it all apart and sew over the padding-lots of work but a good turn out and cheaper then buying a pad in a store

but it works! first big project-check! :) quite proud of the results. Oh yeah, we got that crib on KSL for $75..not too shabby!

I got this dress for Rilee from Carters when we first found out we were pregnant, just wanted to change the flowers that they had on it

First flower project :)

Robbys parents had this little beauty tucked away in a storage closet-when Robby and I saw it we loved it! Just needed a little lovin

I had to watch from a far with a sweatshirt tied around my face

Didn't it turn out awesome?? I LOVE IT. oh those flower balls are another project I made, still need to finish the last one

This is a DI pillow-$2

Used some white sheets we had laying around and made it pretty..this was my first ever sewing project! I also have some big plans for the brown chair--attempting a slip cover. Ill let you know how it goes..

Kona loves the pillow-probably thinks its hers..

So yeah-we still have LOTS to do, the boys right now have taken everything out of the room and are framing the windows, fixing the closet and painting the walls--meanwhile, I am sewing curtains, a rug, a crib skirt and a slip cover...its pure madness over here!! Only like 5-6 weeks! Oh boy, I better get back to sewing...

33 weeks, 2 days :)

ONLY 47 DAYS TO GO!!! (that is if she comes on her due date, December 28th)

I've been slacking up updates/things I want to remember and today i'm feeling extra lazy so guess it would be a good time to do it...

Well, last Thursday I had a doctors appointment and he said that I am measuring right on-which was great news! I always feel like I am just this huge ball waddling around and always worry my doctor is going to tell me I am too big or something-so it was good to hear that I am doing o.k. there! He also said our Rilee is head down-which is even better news! Hopefully she will stay that way! I start going weekly next week..crazzzzy

I have probably the weirdest looking belly button there ever was-its got a nice X in the middle and its flat on the bottom and an outie on the top. But it is super soft and you can see all my pencil battle wounds from when I was a little kid. (I know that doesn't make sense but it's an embarrassing story and I am not going to share that one..)

I had my first experience with fake contractions which I guess they call Braxton Hicks? But I had it on Halloween and before that experience I was like oh it can't be THAAAAAAAT bad, I could probably do it natural--WRONG-O! They will give me any and all the drugs they can, I was born in the era of epidurals and I fully plan on taking advantage of that one-at least for the first one.

Online it said that if you put your ear to the belly that you might be able to hear the heartbeat without using a scope so I told that to Robby so he could try it out one night. Well, she likes to move her entire body over to my right side of my belly, which always makes me look mutated, so I had this huge bump on my right side and Robby put his ear on this bump to see if he could hear Rilee--she must not have liked the pressure because she just kicked him right in the face! It was HILARIOUS! I mean she had literally kicked his face, it even moved his head and he screamed haha I could not stop laughing!! I wish I had recorded it!

I can feel her move around almost all day still and I LOVE IITTTT!!! I am going to miss being pregnant SO much! I am never alone and I love that :) She has discovered my rib cage and pokes at it sometimes but it never hurts me, I just love it. I also have a hard time breathing because she is so high up but I hear right before she is about to come she will make her way down and it will be easier to breathe.

Oh, I also feel her hiccuping almost every day too-just these consistent little movements, it is so fun!! Ah babies are so cool. And moms are CRAZY. I wouldn't trade being pregnant for the world but woman are a crazy breed and Rilee better freakin love me for it haha but seriously. One of the hardest parts about pregnancy for me is just getting used to my body being so much bigger than it was before, which sounds awful or shallow but its been really hard! My clothes don't fit right, my ladies are growing faster and bigger everyday which I understand some woman love-but I hate, I just found these little stretch marks starting to form on my but-I mean really??  TMI. im sorry.

But again I wouldn't trade it for the world and I cannot WAIT to see Rilee and hold her little itty bitty hands and see her smile and hear her little noises and see all her little movements!!!! ahhhh! :)

note: this is NOT me at 33 weeks(i wish) this is me at 27 weeks.
Pictures taken by none other than Chelsey Heidorn :)

OH! and some exciting news..my oldest sister Jen is pregnant too, due is April 2012, and they just found out they are having a baby girl! Rilee is a lucky girl to have Caiden and Baby girl Lake so close is age, they are going to be so cute all together!! :)

diaper party!

My sister Chelsey lives in Rexburg and she decided to throw me a diaper party for me and Robby and invite his friends! It was AWESOME because usually the boys don't get to go to the baby showers(which i'm sure they are perfectly fine with, but I just don't like when all the attention is on me so I wanted the boys included this time!!) It was so nice of everyone to come show their support and celebrate our little Rilee! :)

played the string game where they took a guess on how big my belly was with some yarn

thats my big belly!

Robby guessed I was bigger--thanks a lot Rob! haha

Miles was way off--everyone must have thought I was just ginormous :/

haha Chad was way off too

But we did have a winner! Thanks Riley :)

My cute preggo friend Ashley and my cute nephew Caiden!

Thanks everyone who came and Chelsey for throwing it for us!! Can't wait for Rilee to come and use all those diapers :) welllll I can kind of wait for that....

This was the best one we got-Robbys eyes crack me up haha

hubby is getting old-big 23!

ROBBY IS 23!!!!

this was after Nate came and gave Robby his birthday spanks-not friendly ones I might add! I could post a cute picture of his totally red bum buuuut ill spare you...although he does have a cute little bum haha I mean manly..

Opening my moms card she sent him

Robby loves pumpkin rolls and so I decided to make that for his Birthday cake, kind of looks like a caterpillar but it was yummy!

We went to Texas Roadhouse for dinner-it was obviously DELICIOUS! and they made him ride the saddle while we all sang to him, I forgot my camera but it was funny! I love you Robby--soooo stinkin much!!

our not so halloween

Let me just start off by saying how much I LOVE Halloween!!! I think it is such a fun/weird holiday but I love dressing up-I think about what I am going to be for the next year from the second Halloween ends-its definitely my favorite part, I love carving pumpkins even though I am not good at it, I love going around town and people just give me candy for the heck of it...I love it I love it I love it!

just a few examples...

Last year, Robby and I dressed up as a hunter and a prize deer...it was awesome!

we even carved pumpkins...his was a lot better than mine but whatever!

a deer

and this was supposed to be our old puppy Miley

SO what happened this year on Halloween??? Well, Kona went crazy almost every time the door bell rang so we stayed downstairs, we didn't have a party or anything to dress up for so it would have been a "waste of money" and then we waited until Halloween day to decide to carve a pumpkin and Robby thought it would be silly to carve a pumpkin just for picture purposes so he opted out of that one so I carved a pumpkin all by myself which is why it was awful :( oh and to top it all off, I had cramps ALL day-thanks Rilee!

thats my big belly at almost 32 weeks! yup-the size of the pumpkin :)

We were planning on dressing up as Juno because I have definitely got the right belly for it and Robbys got the right chicken legs for it :)

Oh well...next year we WILL dress up because our little Rilee bug will be here and we will also have an excuse to knock some doors and get some candies since we will have a little one!
