FILMSTRIP

So my last post was a little wordy to say the least, and all I really like to do is look at pictures on other peoples blogs anyways! So I thought I would just get caught up to speed by our pictures-pictures say a thousand words anyways right? Here is our blog filmstrip of our lives together thus far :)

On our first date we went to the arcade, won 400 tickets on deal or no deal and played lazor tag with Chelsey and Miles=best first date EVER!

Just falling in love :) going on dates with Robby is always the best! We went to my favorite, Craigos and played crazy bowling!

In Nashville we decided to play Chelsey and Miles in tennis, neither of us were really good at tennis so we decided to atleast lose with a little style!
We had a lot of fun in Nashville, that is when we were done with work! Robby took me a few times to go shoot his bow, I still didnt know what I was getting myself into-infact I dont think he even told me HOW much he loved hunting until we were engaged haha gotta love him! We also got to fly to CT for a few days so he could meet my family :)
One day I picked up Robby from knocking and we decided to go to the Nashville Zoo! IT WAS SO FUN! We played in a huge jungle gym and played with birds and got to see my favorite-the tigers!
The first picture is the night we decided it was probably better if he went back to Utah and got a job and saved money :( Then Robby tricked me-long story, written in my first post BUT then we were ENGAGED! So we met in Idaho, got engaged in Tennesee, and then got married in Utah!
some of our engagments :) taken by Chelsey Heidorn
My bridals, again taken by Chelsey Heidorn! I finally moved to Utah to be with my fiance, this was our boat trip with the Hendricksons!
My endowment day :) My bachelorette party hosted by my sisters...it was AWESOME! and the ever stressful, wedding party dinner that I was 2 hours late for!
Our wedding! My family, my bridesmaids, robbys groomsmen and robbys family :)
And then we were on our way!! In our car you can still find some of the confetti from that, its true! Our honeymoon night we stayed at Anniversay Inn in Sultans Palace, slept on top of some elephants..it was AWESOME! I want to go back again :)
I tried to get a first day of school picture of Robby but he thought that was weird soo I tricked him, yelling out to him that he forgot something and when he got close enough, I snapped his first day of school picture :) His fault it isnt a better/prettier picture! I also found out how much Robby sleeps-if you let him, he WILL sleep all day. Oh, and of course some apple picking!

One day I decided to go to walmart-and came back with a puppy! haha I called Robby and said there were free puppies and hes like you wouldnt! SO of course... I did. But our apartment complex wouldnt allow dogs, we kept her for a week and now she is my sisters dog! Which is a win win for me because I love Miley and love being able to see her and know how shes doing but I dont have to take care of the wild dog either :) thanks Jen!

Halloween! I was a hunted and I got my prize deer! :) and I cant take credit for the pumpkin, that was my husband

Robby and I decided to cut down our first Christmas tree, this is our scrappy tree :)
For Christmas we went back to Connecticut for a little before we went to BERMUDA and this is our NYC trip!

getting caught up! (long one)

So...I always said I wouldn't have a blog, always felt like I had to be older and more mature to have a blog or something-but of course, I caved! Annnd I dont mind because I am going to look at this as a journal of all the new things I get to experience with Robby! So to get our new blog up to speed on what we have been up to for our 7 MONTHS of marriage(how weird and exciting!) I will try and fill in the blank spots....

Well maybe its necessary to go back as far as meeting :) So here is my side of the story--which is probably the only side you'll get since Robby already told me the only thing he wants to blog about is hunting SOOO guess my side will do!

So some would say I am somewhat of a hopeless romantic. Ever since I could remember I wanted to be married to this mystery man (which always sounded so good after breakups) and wanted to have little Nikkis running around and be this cool young mom-anyways-this could be a VERY long story but lots of things happened, few years passed by, lots and lots and lotsssss of prayers finally were answered. (funny how timing has such a huge role in our lives-funny yet frusterating at times) I was writing a friend while he was on his mission in Brazil and he had mentioned that his friend Robby White was at school at BYU-I and that I should look him up. So I did! We messaged eachother on facebook for awhile, texted a lot too and then decided to go snowboarding together one saturday. No flashing signs telling me "this is the man you are going to marry!" or no grand fireworks but from day one I could be completely myself with him, and that was refreshing! I actually joked with my sister Chelsey that saturday we  met, "wouldnt it be funny if I married robby"....actually for some reason, the first few weeks I thought his name was Bobby haha even put "Bobby" as a character in a paper I had to write for school.
Anyways, we would text talk ALL day! One day he came over to help me with my math homework, which ended up being to come over and watch a scary movie-oh dating! So we came back from Jamba Juice and put in the movie Prom Night. We were just sitting next to eachother and he asked me if I could grab his Jamba for him which was on the center table thing, so I leaned forward to get his jamba and the little sneak put his arm behind me and when I came back with his jamba, he had his arm around me. How cute I know, I know! It gave me butterflies and i've been a sucker for him ever since! :)

(on one of the FUNNEST dates ever!)

Something that I REALLY liked about Robby was that he was willing to drop everything and move down to Nashville, TN to be closer to me and see where things could go, made me feel so lucky-and I am! We drove to Tennessee from Idaho, probably the most i've ever had driving..and it was a looong drive. Nashville was an interesting experience for us both. He was working literally all day, but it was SO much fun seeing him when he got back from work! He would give me the BIGGEST hug and I would make him dinner and we would enjoy a few hours together. Saying bye at the end of the night was the suckiest part of the day but now we dont have to do that and it is awesome! But sales wasn't quite working for him so he decided to go back to Utah. Of course it wasn't ideal for either of us but we knew he needed to work and save some mulla if we wanted to get married-and we wanted to get married pretty bad!

After he purposed, I had him write it down how he saw that day and how I saw it...this is what we said:

How he purposed through the eyes of Robby:

Well, with some help from friends and family and after some last minute changes of plan I was finally ready to drop the knee and come one step closer to becoming Nikkis LUCKY (to say the very least) husband! Although Nikki was going to experience quite the emotional roller coaster in the next few minutes it was all with good intentions of making the moment that much more of a surprise! Nikkis a hard girl to surprise so i had to make it a little more extreme! I would be leaving for the summer on a Monday but for a week or two i had Nikki believing that she would have to say good-bye friday night. So, friday night came and while Nikki drove me to the airport i was going crazy inside! I could hardly keep still! She was crying almost the whole way there and i didnt shed a tear, she probably thought i was excited to get away which in a sense was the truth because it meant i would be closer to proposing. So we made it to the airport and as she dropped me off i gave her the whole band-aid spiel. "The quicker we say good bye/get it over with, the less it will hurt" just to avoid her wanting to follow me into the airport. So the plan worked and i was one step closer! While Nikki drove home crying her eyes out, wondering why i didnt propose before leaving her for the summer i was being picked up from the airport with probably the biggest smile ive ever had on my face! I couldnt wait to give her the biggest surprise ever! So, we made our way back to Nikkis sister Chelseys apartment where everything was all set up with candles, flowers, chocolate covered strawberries, cheesecake and martinellis. Now we just needed Nikki to come over to Chelseys. So i called her and said that i had left her a little present at Chelseys and that i wanted her to go pick it up and call me once she got it. So she made her way over to Chelseys and opened the door to the apartment with me on one knee and ring in hand! I asked her to marry me and told her i loved her but it took her a while to respond. She just stood in the door way with her hand over her mouth crying. So to hopefully get an answer out of her i got up and gave her a hug but still, no answer! I didnt think everything i put her through was enough to make her re-think marrying me but i was getting a little worried. Finally after repeating the question i was able to get the YES i was waiting for for like 3 minutes! Haha It was definitely one of the happiest moments of my life! I LOVE NIKKI GREER

How he proposed through the eyes of Nikki:

So it would be best to begin our story with a little backround: Robby and I came down to Nashville, TN for the summer to work. We learned so much more about eachother by even just the road trip from Rexburg, ID to Nashville...needless to say, this is where we really fell in love, more then I ever thought possible! :) After a month or so we decided that he could make more money if he were to go home and get a job-it was not something either of us wanted (to be far apart) but we knew it would be better for our future. It took everything I possibly had to prepare myself for the dreaded day when I had to drive him to the airport. Just hours before we got in the car to drive there, we were talking about when he would propose. He told me he was so sorry and that he just didn't know when he would be able to do it. Anyways, so we were saying bye to Chelsey and Miles and got packed the car up with all his stuff. I pretty much drove silent, trying to hold back all the tears that I could and hold on to his hand every last second I could. We pulled up to the airport and he told me we should just make it quick, "like pulling off a bandaid". So he gave me a big long hug while I cried all over his shirt and then he asked me if he could get my door for me. In my head I was like well maybe he will walk me to my door and just do it then! So I was all for it; he walked me to my door and just let me get inside and he said he loved me so much and shut the door. I stayed and watched him walk in, till I couldn't see anymore of him and just put my head on my steering wheel and just cried. I finally left the airport, got lost even with my gps-typical, and was walking back in to my apartment when Robby called me. I had told him to call me when he got to his gate, so we were talking and I had already thrown his big green hoodie he gave me and fully planned on just crying myself to sleep for the night but he told me that I should go over to Chelseys apartment because he left me something. He told me it needed a little bit of an explanation so to stay on the line with him till I got to the apartment. I opened Chelseys apartment door and all I remember seeing was Robby on one knee with a box in one hand and his phone talking to me in the other. He hung up and told me he loved me, while I still had my phone up to my ear and my hand over my mouth. Chelsey was in the room taking pictures and she said that he asked me to marry him and I didnt say anything for a minute and then said "you made me drive back crying by myself?" and then asked when how long he was staying and he gave me a hug and laughed. I guess I made him anxious because he asked if I was going to answer the question and I said, "wait, what was the question?" and then remembered why he was kneeling on one knee and said yes! Not my brightest moment but id relive it everyday if I could :) I LOVE ROBBY WHITE!
